Qingdao forum to focus on global health

The second Conference of Global Health Forum of the Boao Forum for Asia will be held in Qingdao, Shandong province from June 1 to 4 to discuss issues related to universal health coverage in the post-COVID-19 pandemic era.
With a theme of "Health beyond Health - In the Year of Sustainable Development 2030" and with the goal of "Health for All" advocated by the United Nations and the World Health Organization (WHO), the forum will gather dignitaries, government officials, experts, celebrities, as well as successful entrepreneurs in the field of health from around the world to share their insights on health issues and on developing health industries.

The global COVID-19 pandemic has brought severe challenges to the global public health system. International cooperation in the field of public health and exchanges about experiences in emergency preparedness has become essential for countries to counteract the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as protect the health of their citizens.
In keeping with this need, the event will promote the establishment of a platform for global public health cooperation. It will focus on such important topics as improving the global public health governance system, strengthening international cooperation in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, scientific and technological innovation, safe development, climate change, medical care and health care integration, as well as poverty alleviation through health.

Discussions will be held on topics like developmental approaches of the medical and health industry under the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the need for a cooperation mechanism for the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.
The conference will contribute to the promotion of global public health cooperation and development through the exchange of ideas from industry experts, scholars, and dignitaries.
The conference will also continue to explore the development of the health industry with a series of additional activities that will be held.
