The launch ceremony of a Ningxia goji berry store on Alibaba's e-commerce platform Tmall was held on June 21, marking the moment that the brand value enhancement of Ningxia's goji berries hit the fast lane of "Internet Plus".
Goji berries, which have both medicinal and edible uses, are the "business card" and "regional symbol" of Ningxia, with a planting history of nearly 600 years. In order to accelerate the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River basin, the government of Ningxia Hui autonomous region has made a strategic decision to develop its characteristic industries.
At present, Ningxia's goji berry planting area is 350,000 mu (23,345 hectares), with more than 60 product varieties in over 10 categories, and a comprehensive output value of 21 billion yuan.
The goji berry industry has enriched Ningxia's agricultural efficiency, improved farmers' incomes, consolidated poverty alleviation achievements, and promoted rural revitalization.
When the official flagship store for Ningxia goji berries entered Tmall, it set a benchmark for the quality and image of regional public brands on the e-commerce platform. The move will boost online marketing and sales, further upgrade sales channels, and enhance the reputation and influence of Ningxia goji berries.
