Envoys feast their eyes on cultural treasures
On July 28, the Nanchang Museum for Relics of the Haihun Principality of the Han Dynasty (202 BC-220 AD) welcomed a group of envoys to China from member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Nanchang, a State-listed famous historical and cultural city and this year's host city of the SCO Forum on Traditional Medicine, is ready to offer visitors an amazing adventure through time and space and ancient civilization.
"I respect Chinese culture very much", said one of the party, "and today's visit was a real eye-opener."
The group stopped by and observed a huge statue of Liu He, the Haihun Principality of Han Dynasty, a gold horseshoe showcase and bronze ceremonial vessels, listening attentively to the explanations provided by the guide.
Nurlan Akkoshkarov, consular of the Kazakhstan embassy in China and deputy secretary-general of the SCO, was amazed by the heritage on display and stories behind them.
According to Akkoshkarov, the visit had furthered his appreciation of the unique charm of Chinese civilization in Nanchang, and he expected to visit many more places in the country.
