'Robot acupuncturist' dazzles at exhibition
Over 100 visitors from home and abroad came to visit the China (Nanchang) TCM Science and Technology Innovation City on July 29 before the opening ceremony the 2021 SCO Forum on Traditional Medicine in Nanchang, capital of East China's Jiangxi province.
The world's first heat-sensitive acupuncture robot, made in Jiangxi, grabbed much attention during the exhibition trip.

Nashundalai, a doctor from the Inner Mongolia International Mongolian Hospital, said that it was the first time he had seen a heat-sensitive acupuncture robot up close. With it in place, doctors would be able to drop a lot of complicated preparations and have more time to treat patients.
"Although Mongolian medicine and Chinese medicine differ in connotations, theoretical systems and methods, they are all green and natural and may complement each other," he said.
The doctor believed in the power of combining Chinese medicine with science and technology. He said that only through innovation can Chinese medicine develop faster and be in line with world medicine.
