Shanghai wins gold in volleyball men's group

The volleyball men's team final of the 14th National Games was staged on Aug 22 in Yulin city, Northwest China's Shaanxi province. The Shanghai team defeated the team from Shandong 3:0 and took home the gold.

In the previous rounds, Shanghai lost 2:3 to Shandong. They met again in the final, and delivered a cracking game with their tough competitors.

In the end, the Shanghai team beat its rivals, finishing on 3:0. This was the team's second championship of the past 12 years.

Shandong claimed the runner-up, being its first time in the final of the National Games and taking home the silver medal.

On the day of the final, the team from Zhejiang competed against Jiangsu for the bronze medal. With more a powerful offense and excellent defense, the former defeated the latter 3:2.
