It is the largest and most majestic beacon tower on the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The structure is square in shape and has four floors, with a total height of more than 30 meters.
Serving as an important transportation hub in ancient times, Zhenbei Terrace is one of the Three Wonders of the Chinese Great Wall, along with Shanhai Pass, in Qinghuangdao, North China's Hebei province, and Jiayu Pass, in Gansu province.
