Pudong tech companies shine at 2021 CIFTIS

A number of technology companies from Pudong New Area, East China's Shanghai showcased their latest innovations at the 2021 China International Fair for Trade in Services, which was held in Beijing from Sept 2 to 7.
Digital services were in the spotlight of the international fair as the sector's growth has been accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Data Grand, an artificial intelligence company, displayed a robot that can read financial reports through optical character recognition technology and upload information to the company's system for further analysis. The robot is expected to improve the efficiency and accuracy of dealing with credit transactions, according to the company.
Shanghai Pudong Software Park, the only digital services export base in the city, also made its debut at this year's CIFTIS. Boasting more than 1,600 companies offering over 10,000 kinds of products and services, the software park has generated $160 million in exports over the first half of 2021, up 76 percent year-on-year and far above the pre-pandemic level.

At CIFTIS' healthcare services exhibition area, many Pudong companies showcased their innovative medications, such as the savolitinib developed by AstraZeneca and Chi-Med. The medicine was approved by China on June 22.
Fosun Kite Biotechnology Co exhibited its CAR-T cell therapy Yescarta, as well as presented the anticancer drug's efficacy and treatment principles through VR videos.
