Yulin intl coal expo yields fruits

Fifty-six agreements worth 39.45 billion yuan ($6.14 billion) were signed during the Yulin International Coal and High-end Energy Chemical Industry Expo, according to an official press conference held in Yulin, a city in Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Oct 15.

Carrying themes of intelligent energy and low-carbon development, the expo, which was organized from Oct 13 to 15, brought together 526 firms from home and abroad, including eight enterprises from the Global Top 100 companies, 14 internationally famous firms and 21 Global Top 100 providers.

There were a total of 751 booths set up in six zones to allow domestic and foreign exhibitors to showcase their products.

A total of 56 agreements worth 39.45 billion yuan, featuring high-end chemicals, advanced equipment, and ecological and environmental protection were signed during the event. On-site procurement transactions of large-scale mining machinery and intelligent manufacturing equipment amounted to 890 million yuan.

Experts presented reports on the low-carbon development of fossil fuel energy, the integration of carbon peak and carbon neutrality targets with the construction of energy industrial bases in northern Shaanxi, and low-carbon and green transformation of industrial development.

They also discussed approaches to ensure the safety of China's overall energy supply, the diversified development of China's energy supply, and the importance of technological innovation in energy exploration .

According to the press conference, the expo greatly boosted the local economy in terms of catering, accommodation, transportation, telecommunication and logistics. Statistics show that the revenue of relevant service industries reached nearly 100 million yuan during the event.

More than 13 forums and conferences were held during the expo, including the Intelligent Excavation Equipment for Coal Mines and Technical Exchanges Conference and the High-tech Equipment Manufacturing Development Forum.
