Shanghai Free Trade Zone lures global innovative talent
The 2021 Shanghai Free Trade Zone Cloud+ Talents Innovation Conference kicked off in East China's Shanghai city on Oct 25 and is running through to Oct 29 – in an event that is involving the participation of top-flight talent from home and board.

A total of 611 projects from 18 countries are participating in the Shanghai FTZ conference and 60 outstanding projects will be selected – through three rounds of screening – to be on its Top 20 list in the fields of artificial intelligence, integrated circuits and biomedicines.
These projects will then be featured in a road show – which will also be held online – and they will be given face-to-face contact with a number of investment institutions.
In addition, the first group of "overseas talent innovation and entrepreneurship service specialists" from the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Offshore Entrepreneurial Base for Overseas Professionals will be announced at the conference.
Meanwhile, four newly added cooperative spaces in the Shanghai FTZ – Cantor Jungle, the Ali Cloud Zhangjiang Innovation Center, SPSP Venture Capital and Found Space – will be launched.
The Shanghai FTZ talent innovation conference is a brand activity of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Offshore Entrepreneurial Base for Overseas Professionals.
It has been held for six consecutive years since 2016, attracting nearly 3,500 outstanding projects from 39 countries and regions in Europe, Asia Pacific region and North America.
In addition to the opening ceremony and the project road show, the five-day conference will also hold related activities aimed at overseas and incubated projects, multinational corporations, innovation centers for large enterprises, as well as overseas students.
