The brain science center will cooperate with research institutes and clinical experts to build a technical research platform that transforms ideas into products that will ultimately improve preventative treatment for brain diseases.
In addition, Sequoia Capital China will partner with Shenzhen Vivolight Medical Device & Technology Co Ltd to create a digital therapy technology platform for brain diseases.
Their main goal is to develop photoacoustic products for more efficient treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
Neil Shen, the founding and managing partner of Sequoia Capital China, said that the accelerator was launched to help more intelligent health-care companies grow in China and help Shanghai build world-class biomedicine industrial clusters.
