The 150,000-character book records the relocation and poverty alleviation process of millions of immigrants in Ningxia. It details the process undertaken by millions of poor peasants from the mountainous areas of southern Ningxia, who bid farewell to their homeland and moved to the Yanghuang Irrigation Area in order to reclaim wasteland and develop diversified operations and eradicate poverty.

The book was written by Wang Jianhong, head of the Ningxia reporter station of Guangming Daily, and published by Sunshine Publishing House of the Yellow River Publishing and Media Group.

Millions of Immigrants tells the story of immigrants struggling and pursuing their dreams, and puts forward that the root of poverty in Xihaigu of Ningxia, an area declared "uninhabitable" by the UN World Food Programme, lies in the mismatch of natural resources, and explores the idea that the essence of migration is to recombine and optimize the allocation of these mismatched resources.

The book presents vivid faces of the 1.23 million immigrants in Ningxia, as well as the historical value and practical significance of this feat in a panoramic view.

Guests expressed their anticipation for the wonderful sequel of the 1.23 million stories.
