The Linping Sports Center, a key venue for the upcoming Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 – which will be held from Sept 10 to 25, is located in the Linping district of Hangzhou, capital city of East China's Zhejiang province.

With an overall floor space of 95,000 square meters, it includes an indoor sports arena, an outdoor stadium and athletics field, a swimming pool complex, a training center and a stormproof playground.

The outdoors stadium covers an area of 22,050 sq m, with more than 10,000 seats and a 400-meter standard circular running track. The grass pitch in the stadium has adopted a mixture of artificial and natural grass, to ensure durability and optimal performances.

At the same time, the stadium is equipped with a hawk-eye computer vision system – used in numerous sports such as tennis and volleyball, to track the trajectory of the ball and display a profile of its statistically most likely path as a moving image.

There is also sound amplification equipment, so spectators can better enjoy the game.

All venues at the Linping Sports Center come equipped with energy saving LED lighting. Through an intelligent lighting control system, different functions such as a festival mode and an energy saving mode can be realized.

The Linping Sports Center is expected to host the preliminary soccer and volleyball matches and the preliminary and final karate events during the Asian Games. It will also host the preliminary and final matches for sitting volleyball during the Hangzhou Asian Para Games.
