Express delivery sector gains traction in Tonglu

Tonglu county in East China's Zhejiang province has witnessed robust growth in the express delivery sector in recent years.

In the last two years, the county introduced 100 investment projects related to express delivery, among which eight have started operations while another 17 are in the midst of implementation, official statistics show.

Starting from 2019, the local government has launched a three-month campaign every year to bolster the growth of the express delivery sector.

To date, Tonglu has established express delivery stations in all its 184 administrative villages.

In addition, it has hosted a series of events including conferences and contests to cultivate more talents in the sector.

Tonglu is renowned in China as the birthplace of the founders of domestic express giants like STO Express, YTO Express, ZTO Express, and Yunda Express.

The local government has set a goal of turning express delivery into an economic pillar. The headquarters of the aforementioned four express giants are currently under construction in Tonglu.
