Longwan district responds quickly to coronavirus epidemic
The Longwan district of Wenzhou – a port and industrial city in East China's Zhejiang province – is understood to have responded rapidly with COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control measures after an asymptomatic carrier was identified there on March 15.
People from all walks of life made themselves available for anti-epidemic work, including medical workers, public security officers, community workers and volunteers.
One of them – Zhang Zhongsheng – is a staff member of Longwan's urban administration and law enforcement bureau. He quickly readied himself for anti-epidemic work upon receiving the order.
But the problem was that the asymptomatic carrier once visited the residential community where Zhang lives and as a result it was closed and all the residents there had to take a nucleic acid test.
Although unable to work with his colleagues, Zhang nonetheless wanted to contribute to the epidemic prevention and control efforts. To do so, he organized residents to take nucleic acid tests, together with volunteers.

From 5 am to 9 am, Zhang and the volunteers skipped breakfast to assist with the nucleic acid sampling. As it drew to a close, he visited the residents door to door, to check if there was anyone who had not taken the test or who had difficulties and needed some help.
