International students from CUG visit Mianchi of Henan
The "Iron Man" International Students Volunteer Team from the China University of Geosciences(CUG) conducted a social practice activity in Mianchi, a county of Central China's Henan province, from July 28 to 29.
The visit aimed to help international students at the CUG better understand Chinese history, learn more about Chinese civilization and modern China, and demonstrate to the world China's historical development and transformation over the past decade.
During their stay in Mianchi, the international students volunteer team held exchanges with local high school students, and paid visits to the Yellow River Dam, the Mianchi Memorial Hall of the Eighth Route Army, the former sites of Mapaoquan Incident and the Battle of Xiaogushan, Yangshao Culture Museum, the protective zone of Yangshao Cultural Relics, and the former meeting place between Qin and Zhao states during the Warring States period.
In addition, they also visited the villages of Xuebai and Zhaogou to further deepen their understanding of rural revitalization strategies, and picked fruit in another village of Mianchi.
