During this year's China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, which will be held in Guizhou's provincial capital Guiyang on Aug 22-28, about 2,400 guests across the world will gather in Guiyang to discuss education exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN.

This year, the event will hold 37 activities during the week and 57 activities across the year.

The event has been an education exchange platform between the China and ASEAN governments since 2008. In 2015, the event explored a global cooperation model revolving around ASEAN countries while inviting other non-ASEAN countries to join.

It was the first time that the event included activities exclusive to the week and activities that would be held throughout the year.

After the permanent site of the event was set in Guian New Area, Guizhou and ASEAN countries had more opportunities to enhance their friendship by learning from each other.

Every year, individuals and organizations from all over the world carry out education cooperation during the event, making it the most influential platform for China-ASEAN education cooperation.

In recent years, Guizhou has held various China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week promotion activities to reach cooperation consensus with ASEAN governments, companies, education organizations and other associations.

Senior officials from Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos and other ASEAN countries have attended the education cooperation week various times online and offline.

So far, the event has attracted 33,100 guests from 50 countries and regions, signed 1,865 cooperation agreements and memorandums, and carried out more than 400 projects and activities.
