Two parcels of State-owned land occupied by enterprises – located in the Kangbashi district of Ordos city, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – were recently returned.

They were returned to the Kangbashi branch of the Ordos bureau of natural resources and planning after a two-year long judicial procedure.

This was conducted under an implementation notice and a property order made out by the Ordos Intermediate People's Court on Sept 25.

They required Ordos Huatai Automobile Body Co and the Ordos branch of Rongcheng Huatai Automobile Co to return the State-owned land parcels, numbered 2006-38 and 2005-15, within three days from Sept 25.

The move is said to mean that the issuing of 4,116.9 mu (274.46 hectares) of land – that restricted the development of the Kangbashi district for a decade – has now been resolved.

Land parcel number 2005-15 is located north of Weier Road, west of Jingwu Road and south of Ordos Avenue. Land parcel number 2006-38 is located east of Jingwu Road, north of Weier Road, west of Jingliu Road and south of Ordos Avenue.

In the future, the land will be used to construct financial and commercial centers in the district, which is expected to serve as a new engine for the development of eastern Kangbashi.

Moving forwards, the Kangbashi branch of the Ordos Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning plans to allocate land in accordance with the newly approved planning purpose and project arrangements.

It will further improve the efficiency of land resources and the levels of construction, conservation and land use – strengthening the management of State-owned land assets.
