The first self-developed recombinant factor VIII was approved for marketing, being the world's first 14-valent HPV vaccine to enter the clinic.

SinoCellTech, which developed in Beijing E-Town, is accelerating its drug research and development and its listing on the market.

By the end of 2021, companies in Beijing enterprises had 11,480 valid invention patents, 3.6 times that of Beijing's average number and leading the number of national economic and technological development zones.

Beijing E-Town has received many major scientific and technological achievements, including five national science and technology progress awards and 45 Beijing science and technology progress awards. A total of 699 new technologies, products and services have also been approved in Beijing.

Beijing E-Town has now built the world's largest recombinant protein library, boasts the world's first FDA-approved high-energy linear accelerator, and the world's first deafness-causing gene detection chip for clinical diagnosis.

At the beginning of the year, the HURWA knee surgery robot obtained China's first domestic joint surgery robot registration certificate. Three months later, its first mass-produced machine rolled off the assembly line.

This is attributed to Beijing E-Town's deepening of the "three science cities and one hi-tech area" linkage mechanism.

As a hi-tech area, Beijing E-Town has signed cooperation agreements with the three science cities.

With leading enterprises and over 20 technology innovation centers in the area, 25 national engineering research centers, engineering laboratories and other R&D institutions have been integrated to create an innovation consortium.

The data shows that since 2017, Beijing E-Town has undertaken more than 600 projects for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the three science cities. More than 1,200 new pieces of technology and products have been jointly developed by industry-university-research institutes.

Beijing E-Town is home to eight national technology incubators, seven space-makers and 59 public technical service platforms. Its pilot test site exceeds 1 million square meters.

Beijing E-Town is building the world's first network-connected cloud-controlled high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone, attracting a number of autonomous driving companies, including Baidu,, Neolix, and QCraft.

Up to now, nearly 400 high-level autonomous vehicles of various types have been regularly tested and commercialized, and the accumulated autonomous driving test mileage has currently exceeded 7 million kilometers.

Beijing E-Town has 85 national outstanding enterprises, ranking among the best in national economic and technological development zones.

It is also home to 1,812 national high-tech enterprises and 1,296 Zhongguancun high-tech enterprises. And the cumulative number of registered technology SMEs here has reached 2,901.
