Baz missed his parents throughout his studies, though there were lots of Pakistani compatriots around him while he studied at the CUG.
With the help and care of Professor Xu, Baz overcame his homesickness and developed a sense of home in Wuhan. Professor Xu often invited him to dinner at his home in a drive to dispel his homesickness.
Baz said that it was a memorable experience for him to sit down together with Professor Xu for a meal at his home, adding that he was deeply grateful to Professor Xu for invaluable assistance.
Upon receiving his doctoral degree, Baz declined the offer of many other universities and decided to continue with his post-doctoral studies at the CUG. He explained that he cherishes the beautiful memories of the campus and teachers at the CUG.
