S/S 2023 Shenzhen Fashion Week opens

The Spring/Summer 2023 Shenzhen Fashion Week kicked off on Oct 25 at OCT Harbor in Nanshan district of Shenzhen, Guangdong province.

The 10-day event will include about 70 fashion shows presented by a group of famous brands and designers from home and abroad.

The event, highlighting environmental protection and harmonious coexistence between humans, cities and nature, aims to be carbon neutral. To achieve this goal, organizers are calling on participants to reduce their carbon footprint and will purchase some carbon emissions quotas at the carbon market.

In addition to the main venue at OCT Harbor, the event will also include some parallel sessions in Shenzhen's Futian, Nanshan and Longhua districts to expand the fashion week's influence and boost the development of local industries.

According to organizers, the event will also feature the debut of a special art exhibition, which will combine technologies and traditional arts and showcase dozens of cultural heritage items from a modern and fashionable perspective.

To better help brands and products enter the market, this year's Shenzhen Fashion Week will continue to promote the application of digital technologies at some online order-placing meetings. Moreover, organizers will try to use digital technologies to add more fashionable, technological, artistic and cultural hues to people's lives.
