The World Internet Conference (WIC) Representative Symposium was held on Nov 8, in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province.
On the meeting, Jim Cathey, chief commercial officer of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc, said as a company providing networked computing solutions, Qualcomm is committed to innovation. Utilizing its advantages in mobile terminals, Qualcomm combines high-performance, low-power, and on-device AI with excellent connectivity to allow smart devices to continuously connect to the cloud and other devices for real-time sharing of data.
5G will play a key role in industrial transformation and experience upgrading. It is estimated that by 2035, the 5G value chain will bring 13 million new jobs to China, and globally, it is expected to contribute nearly 24 trillion yuan ($3.3 trillion) in total economic output and more than 22 million new jobs, Cathey said.
