The World Internet Conference (WIC) Representative Symposium was held on Nov 8, in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province.
On the meeting, Xu Lei, chief executive officer of JD.com, said Chinese enterprises are taking the lead in building digitized and intellectualized supply chains, and especially in enhancing synergies between different supply chains.
Take JD.COM for example. As an enterprise offering technology and service based on supply chains, it is committed to making those chains reliable and advancing integration between them and the networks.
JD.COM realized connections between the commodity network, inventory network and cloud network, which enabled itself to make prompt and precise observations and predictions, and to provide highly efficient digitized, intellectualized and synergistic services for all the links of the chain, Xu noted.
JD.COM has over 10 million self-operated products, while the performance expense ratio has been declining below six percent. Its inventory turnover is only about 30 days, which is at the top of the world’s performance, bringing substantial benefits to both upstream and downstream enterprises, Xu added.
