The World Internet Conference (WIC) Representative Symposium was held on Nov 8, in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province.
On the meeting, Liu Liehong, chairman of the board of ChinaUnicom, said the company continues developing as a road paver in the cyber world. It sticks to moderately advanced development and a combination of construction and application, accelerating the construction of intelligent and comprehensive digital information infrastructure. When that is done, ChinaUnicom will further consolidate China’s global leading position in network infrastructure.
ChinaUnicom is also developing as the admiral of the digital future. At present in China, there are over 20 thousand 5G applications embarking on a new far-reaching journey with a new heading and sound steering. Next, China will combine 5G integration and innovation and accelerate the integrated development of the digital and real economies, according to Liu.
Third, ChinaUnicom is developing as the defender of the cyber space with a shared future. It will stay committed to forging a powerful protective network so as to jointly safeguard national cyberspace security and sound development of the digital economy, Li added.
