The World Internet Conference (WIC) Representative Symposium was held on Nov 8, in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province.
On the meeting, Ding Lei, chief executive officer of NetEase, said, the company is committed to creating the future of the industry, and to adopt mixed reality technology, fully comprehend the real-world environment, make full use of technology, boost the creativity of the industry and stimulate its full potential.
Ding said, China is the only country in the world that has a full industry chain. Sectors including manufacturing, education, and cultural tourism have huge markets. They are ideal experimental fields for developing mixed reality technology.
The mining robot developed by NetEase can be controlled remotely from an office using a joystick or a mouse, Ding added. It is made possible by applying multiple technologies such as the "digital twin" and "3D engine". Ding believed that it is a substantial development in the construction machinery industry.
