Schlumberger Shanghai office upgraded to China HQ

Schlumberger Oilfield Equipment (Shanghai) Co Ltd – located in the Qingpu district of East China's Shanghai – was recently officially recognized as a regional headquarters of its parent company Schlumberger, by the city's municipal commission of commerce.
Schlumberger is a multinational oilfield services company which provides products and services globally for oil exploration to production.
Schlumberger Oilfield Equipment (Shanghai) Co Ltd was established in Qingpu in 2005 with a registered capital of $60.74 million.
At present, one of parent group Schlumberger's two major businesses in China – oilfield equipment manufacturing – is mainly based at its Shanghai company, the revenue of which accounts for more than 12 percent of the group's total manufacturing revenue.
As a result, the parent group authorized its Shanghai company to manage the other three manufacturing facilities in China - upgrading the Shanghai unit to be the China headquarters of the oilfield equipment manufacturing business division.
