Ningxia's May Day Labor Medal recipient Chang Xingzhi
Ningxia Labor Medal winner Chang Xingzhi was interviewed by China Daily after being honored during International Labor Day at an award ceremony for the National and Ningxia Labor Medals and Labor Model representatives on April 28th.
Since graduating from the Physics and Electrical Engineering School of Ningxia University in 2000, Chang has been working on the research and development of intelligent meters at LONGi Meter Co., Ltd.. From an assistant designer to a design leader, R&D Department manager, technical director, and finally a deputy general manager, Chang has laid a solid foundation for the company's product R&D design, technology innovation, and development, as well as in training and building a top-ranking R&D team in the industry.
Chang led a project that won numerous awards, including the Ningxia Science and Technology Progress Award, passed new product identification, participated in the development of four industry and group standards, obtained nearly 20 authorized patents, and led the development of the "DTSD22 0.5S Electronic Three-Phase Multifunction Power Meter," overcoming critical high-precision measurement technology and promoting industrial progress, winning the third prize of the Ningxia Scientific and Technological Progress Award. This product also received export orders for 115,000 units, creating the country's first batch of electronic energy meters to be exported in quantity.
Chang has also been awarded the title of "Innovative Team Leader of Development Zone Skilled Talents," "Innovative Team Leader of Yinchuan City Skilled Talents (Labor Model)," "Fengcheng Craftsman" of Yinchuan city, and the "E-Class High-Precision Talent" of Yinchuan in 2019, and has been honored with the "2023 Ningxia Labor Medal."
Today, Chang leads a research and development team of over 100 people, including doctorates and graduate students. He believes that it is a significant challenge for him personally. To improve his innovation and technical management skills, he insists on daily learning to enhance his professional technical level and research ways to improve the overall technical level of the company's research and development team. This ensures that each R&D member continuously grows, laying a foundation for the company's sustainable development.
