Shanghai holds diamond and jewelry festival

Shanghai launched the 2023 Diamond and Jewelry Culture Festival on May 5 as part of the city's efforts to promote consumption and culture during the May 5 Shopping Festival.

During the launch ceremony, officials announced the key activities of the festival: citywide promotions related to weddings, major festivals and new product launches, a fashion consumption carnival themed on diamond and jewelry culture, the 2023 College Student Diamond and Jewelry Creative Design Competition, and sales promotions related to events like the China International Import Expo.

The municipal consumer protection commission also unveiled standards regarding the protection of consumer rights and interests when buying precious metals, jewelry and jade products at the launch ceremony.

The award ceremony of the 2022 College Student Diamond and Jewelry Creative Design Competition was also held.
