Ningxia's May Day Labor Medal recipient Yang Rongzhe
On April 28th, Ningxia held a ceremony to celebrate International Labor Day and award the May Day Labor Awards and Worker Pioneer Awards for both the country and the province.
After receiving his recognition, Yang Rongzhe, director of Security Department of Tongxin Operation and Maintenance Center of China Datang Corporation Ningxia Branch, was interviewed by China Daily.
In the face of potential safety hazards such as wind turbine fires and tower collapse for the DunAn generators, Yang Rongzhe led his colleagues to invest fully in technological innovation, overcoming various obstacles such as transport difficulties and extreme weather. They achieved a high-quality performance of producing an extra 50,804,600 kilowatt hours of electricity while replacing and debugging 30 Dongfang electrical generators by 2022.
Yang and his team also purchased and designed a special troubleshooting tool, improving the efficiency of inspections and cumulatively discovering 24 bearing defects, with eight units having been replaced and the remaining units being carried out in an orderly manner.
To address the frequent high-temperature problems of multiple Zhongke generator units, Yang Rongzhe designed and modified a generator air passage, which brought a significant cooling effect and promoted the advancement of the industry.
Facing the severe and complex situation where the Tongxin Maintenance Center project has a large volume, many pieces of equipment with high failure rates, remote location, harsh conditions, and a shortage of maintenance personnel, Yang Rongzhe actively carried out special work tasks such as spring and autumn inspections, large-scale checks and rectifications, and securing better electric power supply for 20th CPC National Congress. By 2022, they have identified a total of 527 hidden hazards at all levels and types, with 516 items having been corrected, accounting for a correction rate of 97.91%.
When facing difficulties, Yang continued to promote the domestic-controlled transformation work, completing the 240-hour test run of two units (No.60, No.69) and carrying out formal qualifications. He also strengthened the management of network-related equipment, timely communicated with dispatchers, actively coordinated with manufacturers to revise the AGC prediction model, and analyzed it thoroughly to continuously improve the accuracy of predictions. Yang's efforts have fundamentally solved the high AGC score issue at the Tongxin Wind Farm.
