Huawei focuses on ICT, providing products, solutions and services to three groups of customers: consumers, operators and enterprises, and at the same time collaborates with governments on projects of national scope, notably the PSE through Smart Senegal and its many achievements in the ICT field. Huawei benefits more than 15 million Senegalese, and has facilitated rural connectivity through its tailored solutions, including RuralStar.

In addition to its economic impact, Huawei strives to leave a solid footprint in terms of social impact, and places its social responsibilities at the heart of its activities.

Steadfast in its ethos that a country's economic and social success is based on its youth, Huawei in Senegal invests in education and training for young people, thanks to a multilateral collaboration with government institutions, private and public universities, and companies with which it shares the same social values, It has built up a solid ecosystem of ICT talent, which it constantly expands through a number of programs, including the Huawei ICT Academy, the Huawei ICT Competition, the Seeds for the Future program, and the IDP, a development program aimed at recruiting and training trainees to provide them with their first corporate experience.

Inclusivity and equitable access to digital technology are pillars of Huawei Senegal's CSR policy, as demonstrated by its recent Huawei DigiTruck program, in collaboration with telecommunications operator Orange-Sonatel and its supervisory ministries (Ministry of the youth, the Ministry of Communication, Telecommunications and the Digital Economy, and the Ministry of Education), through which a mobile classroom was built from a container. Equipped with an internet connection, computers and teaching materials, and powered by green energy, the DigiTruck criss-crosses Senegal, offering initial training in ICT and robotics to Senegalese youth. To date, more than 1,200 young people have already been trained by the program, spanning the regions of Dakar, Saint Louis, Matam and Thiès.

Huawei advocates collaboration with all stakeholders and its various partners to innovate and develop a high-performance digital and industrial ecosystem in a resilient environment. Building a connected world is Huawei's vision and mission, and it will continue to contribute to its lasting economic and social impact.
