The Jinqiao 5G Industrial Ecological Park in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone has become an economic hub for the innovation and development of 5G application industries, attracting a large number of companies and projects over the past three years.

The park, which opened in March 2020, has gathered many companies related to future cars, smart manufacturing and big video. It is Shanghai's first industrial park achieving full 5G coverage with 5G production and research conditions.

The park focuses on the three core industries of 5G+future cars, 5G+intelligent manufacturing and 5G+big video. It has attracted major platforms such as the Huawei Shanghai 5G Innovation Center, which provides comprehensive 5G technical support, and China Mobile, which lays out innovative applications of 5G+ in key vertical industries. Other platforms include the 5G Application Innovation Center of the Shanghai Industrial Research Institute, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology's 5G Standard Open Laboratory, which is responsible for the most authoritative 5G certification and testing in China, the SAIC Lianchuang Intelligent Network Innovation Center focusing on the development of 5G+ future cars, and the newly established Alibaba Cloud Innovation Center-BMW Startup Garage Joint Innovation Base.

Relying on the leadership and influence of these five major platforms, Jinqiao has attracted world-leading 5G enterprises and important projects including Xiaomi Technology, Zebra Motors, Ideal Information, Hualu Technology and Global Network. More than 60 enterprises or projects have come to the park, 29 of which are high-tech enterprises with more than 270 invention patents.

Wang Heyu, investment manager of the Industrial Department of Jinqiao Co Ltd, said the management committee is keen on improving communications between enterprises to further strengthen and promote exchanges and cooperation.
