CAST holds quantum technology summit in Hefei

On Oct 23, the 25th Annual Meeting of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) held a special forum titled "The Quantum Technology Systematic Innovation Capability Summit Forum" in Hefei city, Anhui province. The forum focused on the theme of "Deep Integration of Industry, Academia, and Research to Improve the Quantum Technology Innovation System."

It brought together academicians, scientific researchers, and representatives of well-known enterprises in the field of quantum technology to discuss the deep integration of government, industry, academia, research, application, and finance. The aim was to promote the coordinated development of the innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain, and talent chain and to advance the systematic construction of the quantum technology innovation system.

During the summit forum, experts and scholars from various organizations -- including the University of Science and Technology of China, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Technology and Standards of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the 44th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC), the 16th Research Institute of the CETC, China Telecom Quantum, Institute of Security Technology of the China Mobile Research Institute, China Unicom Research Institute Network Technology Research Center, and QuantumCTek Co., Ltd. -- shared insights and exchanged ideas on various aspects of quantum technology. The topics included scientific discoveries, technological innovation, industrial ecology, standardization construction, strategic policies, talent training, and science popularization.

The forum was co-organized by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Center for Excellence in Quantum Information and Quantum Physics and the University of Science and Technology of China, with support from the Quantum Technology Industry-Academia-Research Innovation Alliance. The event aimed to provide a platform for exchange and learning.

The event was attended by Yu Aihua, a Standing Committee member of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Hefei Municipal Committee of the CPC, Pan Jianwei, vice president of the CAST and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wang Jianyu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Feng Donglai, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
