High-End Equipment Forum: A Platform for Exchange and Innovation in the Manufacturing Industry

On October 21, the 25th Annual Meeting of the CAST Special Event - High-End Equipment Independent Innovation and High-Quality Development Forum was held in Hefei, Anhui province. It was organized by the CAST and the Anhui Provincial People's Government, hosted by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES), and supported by the Anhui Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology and the Anhui Science and Technology Association.

The forum consisted of two segments: keynote presentations and a specialized seminar focused on the standardization of high-end equipment. During the keynote session, Yang Caihong, Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of the Services Center for Societies of CAST; Lu Daming, Vice President of the CMES; and Cheng Yingchun, a member of the Leading Party Group and Deputy Director of the Anhui Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, each delivered a speech.

Chen Xuedong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Vice Chairman of the CAST and Vice President of the CMES; Professor Sun Lining from Soochow University, Standing Director of the CMES and a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Engineering; Professor Liu Zhifeng from Jilin University and a Yangtze Scholar; Xu Jinbao, Dean of Anhui Heli Co., Ltd.; and Zhang Baoquan, President of Beijing Jingdiao Group, presented reports on a range of topics. These included "Rebuilding Industrial Foundations and Major Technical Equipment Breakthroughs under the Background of New Industrialization," "High-end Medical Equipment," “The Current Status and Development of High-end CNC Machine Tools," "Key Technologies of Intelligent Industrial Vehicles and System," and “The Exploration and Practice of High-Quality Development Path of High-end CNC Machine Tools." They shared the latest scientific and technological achievements in their respective fields. The keynote session was chaired by Fan Zhichao, President of the CMES and Chairman of the Hefei General Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd.

In the seminar on the standardization of high-end equipment, Lu, Vice President of the CMES, and Wen Jiaquan, Head of the Standardization Division of the Anhui Provincial Market Supervision Administration, both delivered speeches. Tan Xiangning, Deputy Chief Engineer of the China Machinery Industry Federation; Cui Jun, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Hefei General Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd.; and Zhang Mingsheng, Former Secretary General of the National Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Equipment Standardization Committee, presented reports on "The Current Status and Development of Mechanical Industry Standardization," "Technical Innovation and Standard Advancement in the Manufacturing, Inspection, and Acceptance of Pressure Vessels," and “The Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Product Standard System and New Progress in the Standardization of High-end Products."

The attending experts engaged in lively discussions on such topics as development trends and existing problems in their field, the internationalization of standards, and the development of group standards. Chen Xuedong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a key speech. The seminar was chaired by Xu Shuangqing, Deputy General Manager of Hefei General Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd.

The forum is a significant event in the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, providing a critical platform for exchange, cooperation, and the fostering of innovative development. Over 160 experts and representatives from across the country actively exchanged ideas and explored new approaches to advancing the sector. They reached a consensus within the industry, forming a powerful synergy to propel its growth and contribute to the development of China's high-end equipment manufacturing sector.
