Inner Mongolia women's speed skating team qualifies for National Winter Games

The 2023-2024 Chinese Cup Speed Skating Elite League (Hulunbuir Division), a qualifying competition for the 14th National Winter Games, came to a close at the Inner Mongolia Ice Sports Training Center on Nov 3.

After some intense competition, athletes from North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region secured two gold medals, and the region's youth women's team pursuit earned a spot in the 14th National Winter Games finals.

Inner Mongolia sent a total of 34 male and female athletes to participate in the 22 events of the open and youth divisions in this competition.

At the end of the contest, Inner Mongolian athlete Han Mei claimed first place in the women's 1,000 meters in the open division, while Dalian athlete Chen Lei took first place in the men's 1,500 meters in the open division.
