Activity to foster curiosity among children held in Longwan's Eye Valley

An event focusing on building child-friendly cities, which is a sideline activity of the 2023 World Young Scientist Summit, was held at the Eye Valley in Longwan district, Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Nov 11. The summit commenced in Wenzhou that same day.
The event showcased Wenzhou's commitment to promoting science popularization and advancing the scientific literacy of women and children. During the event, Chen Yao, a science teacher from Wenzhou Experimental Primary School, and others announced the Family Laboratory Initiative, which encourages every family to create a space at home for children to study specific projects they are interested in.

An online application called "Children Friendly Treasure", the first of its kind in the nation, was also launched. This platform aims to empower children's growth through digital technologies.
Wenzhou has long been dedicated to providing enabling conditions, environments, and services for the growth and development of children. The city's efforts were acknowledged as it successfully secured a spot in the first list of China's child-friendly cities.
