Longwan district in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, is spearheading administrative law enforcement reforms to enhance convenience for market entities. Many sub-districts within the district have been exploring ways to streamline processes.
For instance, the law enforcement team in Tianhe sub-district has introduced a reservation service allowing businesses to schedule inspections through WeChat, phone calls, or on-site appointments. The enforcement team has also tailored specific checklists for different market entities to ensure efficiency and minimize disruption to businesses, according to Chen Shuang, deputy head of the team.
Longwan has established 10 such administrative law enforcement teams at the sub-district level, which are responsible for addressing 145 types of issues. Additionally, individuals with legal professional qualifications have been deployed to assist in handling legal issues.
According to Zhou Jiayun from the comprehensive administrative law enforcement bureau of Longwan, the reforms have fostered increased collaboration among different departments, improved governance in sub-districts, and energized market entities.
Longwan is now aiming to leverage digital technologies to further enhance the efficiency of administrative law enforcement across departments and regions and elevate the overall business environment throughout the district.
