Wenzhou Bay New Area and Longwan district in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province have been enhancing their business environments with a focus on key industries such as new energy, new materials, life sciences, and digital economy.
Their efforts have borne fruit, attracting a slew of high-potential projects. Last year, agreements for 23 major industrial projects at the municipal level were signed, with a total planned investment of 39 billion yuan ($5.42 billion). Two projects with an investment exceeding 10 billion yuan, four manufacturing projects with over 1 billion yuan in investment, and 24 projects worth more than 100 million yuan were also initiated.
Both Wenzhou Bay New Area and Longwan district have established enterprise development service centers in all their sub-districts. These centers are dedicated to addressing the difficulties faced by enterprises in land use, recruitment, financing, and other aspects. Since their inception, the centers have already handled 539 corporate requests.
In addition to providing support through enterprise service centers, the districts have also assisted small and micro-sized enterprises in revitalizing idle assets and increasing their value, enabling them to secure bank financing.
As of December last year, Wenzhou Bay New Area and Longwan had broken ground on 64 new projects and completed 38 industrial projects. Behind these achievements lies the meticulous service provided by governments.
Taking an industrial laser marking machine project as an example, the two districts have established a dedicated team to provide comprehensive services and guidance to the enterprise. The team also organized joint evaluations of the project by industry experts.
