Cross-country skiing events conclude in Ulaanqab
The cross-country skiing events for the open category at the 14th National Winter Games took place at the Liangcheng Ski Resort in Ulaanqab city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Feb 24.
In the women's 30-km mass start (traditional technique), Li Xin from the Heilongjiang team clinched the championship with an impressive time of 1 h, 34 min and 10.9 sec. Her teammates Meng Honglian and Li Lei from the Jilin team secured the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
Later that afternoon, the men's 50-km mass start (traditional technique) event saw a remarkable performance from Wang Qiang from the Chongqing Team, who maintained a steady pace to claim the gold medal with a time of 2 h, 23 min and 58.7 sec. Bao Lin and Entemake Maowulietibieke, both from the Liaoning team, demonstrated their prowess, earning the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
