Science education initiative launched in Longwan

The UCAS Education Group initiated a comprehensive science education program on March 20 for its Wenzhou School in Longwan district.

The initiative aims to bridge the gap between scientists and science educators, as well as disseminate the latest research findings.

As part of the program, tailored science curricula will be developed, and regular activities will be organized where researchers from the Wenzhou Institute of UCAS engage with teachers and students. Additionally, training programs for science teachers will be organized.

The Wenzhou Institute of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), established in 2019, focuses on areas such as medical biomaterials, intelligent medical equipment, biomedical physics, translational medicine, and precision medicine.

The Wenzhou School of the UCAS Education Group, unveiled last October, encompasses multiple schools ranging from kindergartens to high schools.

Officials from Longwan's education bureau said that the Wenzhou Institute of UCAS possesses unique advantages in talent cultivation, integrating science and education, and accessing science education resources. The collaboration between the institute and the education sector in Longwan will extend quality education to more children and cultivate a greater number of innovative talents.
