Huzhou's Anji county inaugurated an association dedicated to promoting Anji white tea among youth worldwide on March 25.
The event attracted a diverse group of expatriates who were afforded the chance to partake in the intricate tea-making process, which involved activities such as picking and hand-roasting leaves, as well as attending a tea preparation ceremony.
The immersive journey allowed the foreign participants to develop a profound appreciation for the rich heritage and customs associated with Anji white tea, a prized green tea produced in Xilong town. Recognizable by its long, narrow, yellow leaves with a distinct fold along their length, the tea embodies a tradition deeply rooted in the region's history and culture.
