Wool sweater company in Wenzhou Bay New Area seeks to boost growth with new tech

Wenzhou Haiqiu Clothing located in Wenzhou Bay New Area has been committed to the cashmere and wool sweater sector for more than 35 years, with an annual output exceeding 600,000 pieces.

The company broke into the high-end cashmere and wool sweater market in 2009 when it acquired over 30 fully-automatic computerized flat knitting machines from overseas. This helped it gain market recognition and receive orders from renowned brands like Youngor and Heilan Home. A decade later, the company's inventory of computerized flat knitting machines soared to over 200.

Starting in 2020, Haiqiu initiated research and development efforts on a shrink-resistant and machine-washable cashmere sweater. With a dedicated R&D team of nearly 20 members, the company carefully selected premium materials, refined its techniques, and conducted multiple tests before it successfully developed a machine-washable, anti-pilling, and non-deforming cashmere sweater. The product has attracted even more high-end partners such as Luka Dilong.

To ensure product quality, Haiqiu has established a stringent quality control system. Every step, from raw material procurement to finished product delivery, undergoes meticulous inspection and testing.
