A geological science research activity was held in Yucun village in Huzhou's Anji county on April 21 to commemorate the 55th World Earth Day, which falls on the following day.
Yucun is the first five-star geological cultural village in China, showcasing 22 geological relics, including unique rock minerals, paleontological fossil sites, karst landforms, and remnants of mining activities. These natural features have fostered a rich array of flora and fauna, including elephant ear orchids, motherwort, and pangolins.
Over the years, the village has effectively utilized its geological resources, gradually integrating them into various sectors, such as ecological tourism, natural education, eco-agriculture, ecological healthcare, innovation and creativity, as well as comprehensive services.
