As summer approaches, "where do the children go" has become a hot topic for working parents and society at large.

In order to effectively address the difficulty of providing summer care for the children of cadres and workers, and to alleviate the concerns of workers whose children have no one to look after them during the summer break, the Ningxia Federation of Trade Unions (FTU) is actively advocating for grassroots trade unions to provide caring services for the children of workers and promote the construction of childcare centers for working parents to leave their  children.

The trade union in Xixia district, Yinchuan, integrated resources and recruited 13 volunteers to establish summer childcare centers in collaboration with community trade unions.

In addition to homework assistance, these centers offer a diverse range of activities covering safety education, red education, popular science education, calligraphy and painting, handicrafts, cultural and sports activities, aiming to guide and help workers' children have a healthy, joyful, and fulfilling holiday.

"The childcare centers focus on interest classes, traditional Chinese culture, homework assistance, and safety education, providing children with a safe, educational, and enjoyable summer experience. This not only solves the problem of childcare for workers during the summer, but also assists in family education, earning unanimous praise from working parents. Moving forward, we will conduct daily supervision and tracking of the established childcare centers, effectively turning worker childcare services into a trade union service brand that workers actively participate in, feel safe and reassured about, and find warm and caring," said a spokesperson from the autonomous region's Federation of Trade Unions.
