To optimize its feed conversion efficiency, Yongtai Golden Egg worked with experts from the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences to study the egg-laying performance of different duck breeds after crossbreeding.
This two-way collaboration between research institutions and local enterprises is said to not only provide a practical platform for the Fujian academy to explore modern farming methods, but also offers scientific farming guidance to address production bottlenecks.
Technical director Song said his company's annual sales now top 900 million yuan ($127.86 million), with 20 percent of its output exported.
Currently, Yongtai county is constructing a provincial-level modern agricultural industrial park to establish the largest and most technologically advanced and integrated duck cage farming facility.
