Georgia is proud to announce its 7th consecutive participation in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2024, a key event that underscores the strategic importance of the Exhibition for the country.

Located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Georgia has served as a bridge between civilizations throughout the ages, playing a significant role along the ancient Silk Road. Its unique alphabet, vibrant folklore, ancient winemaking traditions, and renowned hospitality are integral to its rich cultural heritage. Often celebrated as a cultural gem, Georgia continues to captivate the world today.

Over the years, it has earned a reputation as a strong and dynamic economy. Supported by pro-business policies and attractive investment incentives, the country now offers a robust environment for international growth and expansion. Ranked in the top 10 in almost all categories of the recently published Business Ready ranking of the World Bank, including 1st in Business Location and 6th in Taxation, Georgia offers an ideal environment for international companies seeking growth and expansion. Moreover, its free trade agreements with major markets, including the China and EU, grant access to a consumer base of 2.3 billion. Key sectors such as renewable energy, manufacturing, logistics, and hospitality are central to Georgia's investment appeal, making it a dynamic and forward-thinking trade partner.

In recent years, the relationship between Georgia and People's Republic of China has ascended to a new level with signing Free Trade Agreement in 2017, an Agreement on Strategic Partnership in 2023, and a visa-free regime in 2024. Since 2018, Georgia has taken part in CIIE, demonstrating its commitment to further enhancing trade relations with the China and fostering new economic opportunities. Each year, the Georgian delegation is led by high-ranking government officials, emphasizing the country's ongoing efforts to strengthen global trade ties. This year, Georgia continues this tradition, highlighting its unique products and culture at one of the world’s most significant trade platforms.

In 2024, Georgia's presence at CIIE will be showcased in three thematic pavilions: Food and Agriculture (Hall 1.2, C4-02), Consumer Goods (Hall 6.2, C5-01), and the National Pavilion (Hall 5.2, B-02). The architecture of Georgia's pavilion draws inspiration from the picturesque design of old Tbilisi, offering visitors a glimpse into both the country's rich past and its modern ambitions.

The National Pavilion is designed in two parts. In the first section, visitors are guided through Georgia's traditions and history, including the country's unique alphabet, remarkable art, and ancient winemaking traditions. Georgia is the homeland of winemaking, with a history dating back over 8,000 years. Known for its unique location, rich history and heritage, as well as majestic landscapes, wine and cuisine, Georgia has long been an appealing tourist destination. In recent years, the country's popularity has increased even further, making tourism and hospitality one of the main drivers of Georgia's economy.

Meanwhile, the second section of the pavilion highlights Georgia's role as a forward-looking business, trade, and logistics hub.

In the Business Pavilion, which will showcase products from the food and agriculture and consumer goods sectors, around 40 Georgian companies will participate, offering a diverse range—from renowned Georgian wines and nuts to leather goods and children's apparel. These companies aim to connect with Chinese and international buyers, further expanding their global reach.

Georgia warmly invites all visitors to explore its offerings at the National Pavilion (Hall 5.2, B-02), the Food and Agriculture Pavilion (Hall 1.2, C4-02), and the Consumer Goods Pavilion (Hall 6.2, C5-01), where the country's high-quality products and innovative solutions will be on display.
