Chengdu FTZ highlights opening-up at conference

The Chengdu Pilot Free Trade Zone Collaborative Opening-Up and Tianfu Central Services District Legal-Business Integration Exchange Conference was held on Wednesday in Chengdu, Sichuan province to improve foreign-related legal services and help enterprises "go global".
Cui Fan, a professor from the School of International Trade and Economics at the University of International Business and Economics provided valuable insights into the current international environment facing China during the conference. He also gave domestic enterprises suggestions on how to align with international high-standard economic and trade rules and expand into international trade markets.
In addition, representatives from local companies and law firms held discussions on international industrial policies, intellectual property protection and many other topics.

Officials introduced the city's favorable policies on foreign trade, offering enterprises the latest market dynamics and helping them deal with challenges.
A highlight during the event was that six enterprises and six law firms signed strategic cooperation agreements.
"We have received great support from the Chengdu FTZ including the favorable policies and legal services. These boosted our confidence in exploring overseas markets," said a representative from Chengdu Zhengye Jixiang Parallel Automobile Sales.
Chengdu zhiyuanhui Information Technology, a company specializing in artificial intelligence and big data, shared its successful experience in Fergana, Uzbekistan.

"As the city is enhancing its institutional opening-up, we look forward to accessing more international resources based on Chengdu's foreign trade service system and establishing closer connections with international markets," said Liu Yong, deputy general manager of the company.
Since its founding in 2017, the Chengdu FTZ has been committed to institutional innovation and system integration to advance the liberalization of trade, investment, finance and increase the city's competitiveness.
To date, Chengdu has established economic and trade relations with 235 countries and regions. Currently, there are 315 Fortune Global 500 companies in the city.
Chengdu FTZ has achieved more than 720 institutional innovation accomplishments, such as deepening reforms, expanding openness and serving major national strategies, with more than 10 cases promoted nationwide.
