Renowned Chinese artists like Jiang Jie, Yang Mian, and those from outstanding architectural studios were invited to craft works using different materials for the first session. Through diverse artistic expressions, these works have interpreted the unique charm of Chengdu, which blends tradition and modernity.

This event also features exhibitions, workshops, markets, and experimental projects, not only treating citizens to an artistic feast but striving to enhance Chengdu's cultural influence and propelling it toward global prominence.

To pay tribute to the city's profound cultural heritage, this art season plans to spotlight Chengdu's inclusive, open, and innovative spirit as a world-renowned cultural hub. The hibiscus flower, emblematic of the city's culture, symbolizes the optimistic and open-minded spirit of its people, as well as their pursuit of aesthetic beauty and innovative drive.

The Tianfu Art Park, a new landmark of Chengdu's urban cultural life, offers a blend of art, humanities, commerce, and urban vitality. It intertwines deep historical roots with modern development, painting a tapestry of prosperity in the city.

Through the artists' interpretations, the season is revealing the modern urban landscape of Chengdu. Their works are distributed along two main roads. Among them is "Poetry of Time", which reinterprets the hibiscus flower using cutting-edge technology.

This giant installation employs pixel recombination to capture myriad hibiscus blooms, transforming them into flowing light and shadow patterns. At 7 meters tall, the dynamic structure crafted from metal composites and illuminated by LED lights showcases Chengdu's prosperity.

Furthermore, a site-specific installation debuting on Jan 10 seeks to revive the cultural essence of urban spaces and envision an imaginative future for Chengdu by juxtaposing local heritage with contemporary perspectives.
