US-invested company opens new factory in Xi'an Hi-tech Zone
PESCO's new factory commenced operations in Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone on Sept 22.
PESCO's partnership with Xi'an dates back to 1995. With over 30 years of dedication to the fire alarm industry, the company has built up solid technical expertise. Its parent company, Potter Electric Signal, is a leading enterprise in the United States' fire safety equipment industry and was founded more than 125 years ago. Its fire sprinkler control systems occupy a leading market position in North America.
The new factory is a notable example of an established foreign-invested company expanding its operations in the zone, supported by local business services. The expanded new premises will be mainly used for the R&D and manufacturing of fire protection electronic products, helping the company to take orders from around the globe and introduce more advanced technologies from Potter's headquarters.
Over the past 35 years, Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone has built a sizeable industrial system and cluster in the high-end equipment sector and is home to a number of leading smart manufacturing enterprises. Standout examples include Honeywell's Xi'an plant, Schneider Electric's "zero-carbon factory", and China XD Group Co's smart industrial park.
The fire protection electronics industry, where Potter operates, constitutes a key segment within the zone's high-end equipment and smart manufacturing sector. Potter's production expansion will further strengthen the zone's high-end equipment industrial chain, helping build a more complete and resilient industrial ecosystem.
