Qingtongxia Yellow River Grand Canyon

The Qingtongxia Yellow River Grand Canyon Tourist Area is a national 4A-level tourist destination and a world irrigation engineering heritage site. Located in Wuzhong city, it covers a total area of 126 square kilometers and includes 75 tourism resource units. It features the core area of the Ningxia Ancient Yinhuang Irrigation Project, the Qingtongxia Water Conservancy Hub, the One Hundred and Eight Pagodas, the Ten Li Long Gorge, and the Dayu Cultural Park. It is a boutique tourist destination that integrates natural sightseeing, ecological tourism, popular science education, and leisure vacation. 

The canyon is more than ten miles long and integrates the magnificence of northern mountains and rivers with the beauty of the Yellow River. It features unique landscapes such as Guanyin Terrace, Tianshu Pavillion, the Crocodile-shape Stone, and the Shrimp-shaped Wall. It is the most characteristic canyon landform in the Yellow River Basin and is renowned as the Soul of the Yellow River.
