Tengger Desert Wetland and Golden Sands Island Tourist Area
The Tengger Desert Wetland and Golden Sands Island Tourist Area is a national 4A-level scenic spot located on the southeast edge of the Tengger Desert, eight kilometers away from downtown Zhongwei city, Ningxia. Covering 22 square kilometers and with a water area of 10,000 mu, it is a wetland area that offers a diverse range of attractions. Highlights include the ruins of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, a variety of fish and bird species, a water park, a desert grassland for horse racing, and a sea of flowers. The area plans to develop various projects to create eight functional areas, such as a tourist reception area, a desert hot spring therapy area, and an ecological ranch leisure area.
