On Oct 20, the Desert Diamond Hotel of the China Tourism Group (CTG) Resorts was unveiled at the Shapotou Scenic Area in Zhongwei, Ningxia.

The Shapotou Scenic Area in Zhongwei, Ningxia, is situated on the southeastern edge of the Tengger Desert. Shapotou is known for its magnificent landscapes combined with the scenic beauty of the Jiangnan region. It integrates the features of the desert, the Yellow River, the Great Wall, and the oasis. It is one of the first batch of national 5A-level tourist attractions and the first national-level desert ecological nature reserve.

The hotel has 30 rooms, including 16 Diamond Star rooms with an area of approximately 79 square meters; 12 Diamond Star suites with an area of approximately 105 square meters; and two Blue Diamond suites with an area of approximately 283 square meters. The various options cater to the different demands of guests seeking a quiet desert retreat. All rooms offer magnificent views of the desert landscape and provide a tranquil and relaxing environment for guests to enjoy their time in peace and serenity.

The Desert Diamond Hotel is expected to be put into trial operation at the end of 2023.
